Mangotone was established in 1994 to carry on the business of manufacturing PC systems, marketing and sales of
computer accessories and PCs under the brandname “Ftec®, the future of technology”.
Currently, the Mangotone Group produces hardware and software that carry the Ftec® brand. The ranges of IT products
currently offered by the Group are desktops, notebooks, servers, server application software and other
software applications. The products offered by Mangotone Group are of high quality, benchmarked to competitors
with established brandnames, at affordable prices.
To-date, the Group has successfully developed the OneServer® based on the Linux platform to power its servers.
The combination of the Ftec® Server and OneServer® has succeeded in substantially lowering the manufacturing
and development cost for the Mangotone Group’s server systems. As a result of the cost savings, the Mangotone Group's
OneServer® is competitively priced to capture more customers in the IT market.
Due to increasing demand of higher security in the Malaysian market nowadays, Mangotone is going into the electronic
security industry by diversifying it IT business into surveillance systems products to capture the supply to
this prospective market segment that is rapidly growing.
FTEC Networks Sdn. Bhd. is a subsidiary of Mangotone Group Berhad handling distribution channel of Surveillance
Systems Products (DVR/Systems) by the brand of SmartEyes®.
SmartEyes Surveillance Systems is a jointly collaboration of Mangotone with our overseas counterpart to deliver a
user friendly and powerful system that will assist in providing better monitoring and higher security to the
user. These software products would further enhance the Group's direction into the software application business.
The Group’s R&D team is presently developing additional software applications for the IT markets. Products
such as the Smart Eyes®, digital video recording system and OneServer® new modules are currently in the
pipeline. These software products would further enhance the Group's direction into the software application
business.
The Mangotone Group has established an extensive distribution network of more than 800 resellers in Malaysia.
The Group also has a large and diversified clientele base encompassing individual, corporate customer and
government organisations.
